A potentially dangerous situation unfolded on the A7 motorway early Saturday when a wrong-way driver collided with crash barriers and drove erratically before being stopped by police.

Shortly after midnight on Saturday, Luxembourg police responded to reports of a motorist driving the wrong way on the A7 motorway.

The driver was spotted travelling against traffic between the Lorentzweiler exit and Waldhof, zigzagging and repeatedly colliding with crash barriers. At one point, the motorist turned the vehicle around.

Police eventually intercepted the driver in Senningerberg. A breathalyser test revealed that the driver was over the legal alcohol limit. As a result, their driving licence was revoked on the spot.
