Police reported multiple incidents on Friday night with arrests made following a brawl in Luxembourg City, a car break-in, and an attempted burglary in Rumelange.

The police bulletin reported several incidents on Friday, including a brawl in Luxembourg City and a burglary in Rumelange.

On Friday, 1 November, at around 8am, police received reports of two individuals attempting to break into a car in Mertert. Officers apprehended the suspects in Wasserbillig, where a search revealed that one was carrying a large quantity of cigarettes allegedly bought with a stolen credit card.

The suspects were also linked to an earlier car break-in in Grevenmacher. The public prosecutor’s office ordered both individuals’ arrests, and they were brought before an examining magistrate the same day.

Also on Friday, police responded to a reported house burglary in Rumelange. While they managed to surprise the burglars on site, one suspect fled. The other was apprehended and subsequently transferred to the State Socio-Educational Centre (CSEE) on orders from the public prosecutor's office. Stolen items were recovered, and investigations are ongoing.

Around midnight, police were called to a bar in the Gare neighbourhood of Luxembourg City following a fight. Officers separated the two individuals involved, though one continued to act aggressively. Due to their heavy intoxication, officers took them into custody after a medical examination, during which a significant quantity of drugs was discovered. The substances were confiscated, and the individual was issued a fine.
