A serious road accident on Wednesday morning in Useldange left a motorist hospitalised after their vehicle overturned.

A serious accident involving a motorist occurred on Wednesday morning in Useldange. Emergency services worked quickly to extricate the driver after opening the roof of the vehicle.

Shortly after 9am, the motorist was involved in a severe road accident on the route between Useldange and Boevange-sur-Attert. The vehicle struck a tree on the right side of the road, causing it to overturn and come to rest on its side in the middle of the lane.

Firefighters had to cut away a significant portion of the vehicle's roof to safely extract the injured driver, who was subsequently hospitalised. The operation involved three teams of firefighters from Bissen, Boevange-sur-Attert, and Tuntange, along with an ambulance from Nordstad.

As a result of the accident, the N22 was closed during the morning to facilitate the removal of the damaged vehicle.
