Minister for Home Affairs Léon Gloden has met with Contern Mayor Marion Zovilé-Braquet following union allegations of a toxic work environment at the municipality, with further discussions scheduled with municipal leaders and unions.

After the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) in September published allegations of a toxic work environment at the Contern municipality, Minister for Home Affairs Léon Gloden revealed in response to a parliamentary enquiry that he has met with his party colleague and Contern Mayor Marion Zovilé-Braquet, and that further meetings with the municipal council and unions are scheduled to take place.

According to Gloden's response, Mayor Zovilé-Braquet and union representatives were the ones to request the meeting. He further stressed that he has no legal purview over personnel management at individual municipalities.

The parliamentary enquiry was filed by MPs Djuna Bernard a Meris Sehovic of The Greens.
