Sneakers have transcended their traditional role as casual footwear to become a symbol of fashion, culture, and even status.

Sneakers, once limited to gyms and casual weekend outfits, have now become staples in both high fashion and streetwear. Collaborations between designers and sportswear giants like Nike and Adidas have propelled sneakers into the realm of art and valuable collectibles.

This weekend, Luxexpo The Box has been transformed into a sneaker lover's paradise as the Sneaker fair celebrates its 10th year in Luxembourg.

The event, which started in 2014 thanks to Ronny Erpelding, has grown significantly, with 60 vendors showcasing a wide array of sneakers, along with clothes, glasses, and accessories.

Sneaker enthusiasts, or sneakerheads, can explore around 20,000 pairs of shoes this weekend. However, those looking to buy should be ready for steep prices, with some of the most exclusive models fetching prices in the five-figure range.

Held twice a year in Luxembourg, the Sneakermess also features dance performances to entertain attendees.

The event is open on Sunday from 10am to 6pm, and tickets are available for €15 at the door.
