The British Chamber of Commerce's annual Leadership Forum will be held on Wednesday 23 October and will feature an esteemed panel including His Majesty's Ambassador to the Grand Duchy, Fleur Thomas.

A key professional event on many a calendar will be this year's Leadership Forum hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce's People and Leadership Group. It will focus on psychological safety in the workplace.

Psychological safety has become increasingly recognised as an essential component of a functioning workplace environment. The fundamental principle of this concept is that employees should feel comfortable, safe and able to share their ideas, and admit mistakes, without fear of negative consequences.

This in reality is not always the case which makes it fertile ground for corporate improvement of workplace culture and processes.

The BCC's Leadership Group has put together an esteemed panel of experts to discuss the subject from the academic, practical, and personal perspectives. Panelists include:

  • Fleur Thomas - His Majesty's Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
  • Dorothea Brunner Gloor - Organisational Psychologist and Executive Coach for Leadership Development
  • Julian Troian - Head of Talent, Talent Acquisition, DIB (Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging), and Learning and Development at ING Luxembourg

Topics that will be discussed include the fundamentals of psychological safety, its importance in today's workplace, strategies for creating a safe and open work environment, the role of leadership in this context, support for whistleblowing and enhancing employee engagement.

Attendees will be encouraged to engage directly in the discussion, and there will be opportunities to network with like-minded professionals.
