Alongside the excitement surrounding the Pope, the paramedics of the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) had to deal with a lot of accidents on Thursday.

Moments before 5pm, one person was injured in an accident in Tunnel Gousselerbierg on the A7. Rescue teams from Lintgen and Junglinster quickly arrived at the scene.

About 20 minutes later, on the CR178 between Roedgen and Cessange, another accident occurred. CGDIS reports one injured person who was taken care of by the City's rescue teams.

At 5.30pm, two people were injured in an accident on the CR141 between Mompach and Osweiler. They were aided by Echternach and Mertert's paramedics, as well as firefighters from Osweiler.

Then, shortly after 8.30pm, a collision occurred involving multiple cars on the A4, close to Steinbrücken. Three people were injured. Rescue teams from Mondercange, Esch-sur-Alzette, Dudelange, and Sanem-Differdange were present.
