The CMCM, the Mutualist Medical and Supplementary Fund, has received an updated licence, as confirmed by the Ministry for Health and Social Security.

In a verdict passed in August, the administrative court came to the conclusion that the ministerial licence for the CMCM needed to be retracted.

The Private Insurance Companies Association (ACA) addressed the court with the argument that the mutualist fund did not need to adhere to the same rules as the private insurance actors in the branch - an unfair advantage, in their eyes.

According to the CMCM's own claims, it had already changed its terms and conditions before the verdict. The ministry has now concluded that the mutualist fund is conform to the law, thus the request for a new licence can be approved.

The ministerial decree was signed on Friday 20 September, the ministry reports.
