Emergency responders had their hands full on Monday, as numerous road accidents were reported.

Two people were injured when two cars crashed on the N22 on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 3.20pm. Both cars ended up in the ditch on the side of the road.

Police closed the street off to traffic for an hour. Around 4.25pm, the N22 had been reopened, according to officials.

In other accident reports, at 11.30am two cars crashed on the Route d'Ettelbruck. One person was left injured.

A further two cars collided in Hesperange on Rue de Gasperich at 12.27pm. Nobody was injured.

At 3.40pm, rescue teams from Mamer and Steinfort, as well as two first responders from the city, attended to an injured pedestrian on Rue de la Liberation in Mamer who had been struck by a car.

Three people were injured in Bous in an accident between two vehicles on Rue de Remich. Emergency services from Remich, Schengen and Dudelange were on site, as well as an Air Rescue helicopter.
