The OGBL (Luxembourg's Independent Trade Union Confederation) has successfully negotiated and signed the first collective agreement for the 75 employees of Galeries Lafayette.
The union announced this achievement in a press release, highlighting several new benefits for employees.
These include 8 hours of annual social leave and automatic promotion to the status of a qualified employee after five years of professional experience.
Other benefits include meal vouchers, an annual €500 attendance bonuses, a rental allowance of €120 per year, an additional 12-minute paid break and employee discounts of up to 25%. Employees also have the right to disconnect and an internal training budget has been set up.
Both the OGBL and the staff delegation expressed satisfaction with the agreement.
