A person suspected of burgling a number of stores in Luxembourg last year has been arrested in Germany and extradited back to Luxembourg.

The individual, aged 20, lives abroad and was captured as a result of a German investigation. He stands accused of burgling several recreational stores in central and western Luxembourg in autumn 2023. The suspect was extradited to Luxembourg this week and was brought before an investigating judge.

Break-ins in Howald and Ingeldorf

Two break-ins were reported to police on Thursday evening. In Howald, thieves broke into a house on Rue Eugene Welter, searching rooms and ultimately stealing a mobile phone.

Later on, another residential property was burgled in Ingeldorf, as the intruder stole a number of jewellery items and cash before fleeing the scene.

Investigations have been launched into both incidents.
