The police report a series of brawls, drunk-driving incidents and break-ins across the Grand-Duchy during the night heading into Sunday.
From the Ville Haute district of Luxembourg City near the Fish Market, at the Schueberfouer, all the way to Clervaux, the police intervened in several physical altercations. In most cases, however, police officers arrived at the scene too late to fully resolve the situation. In each incident, the victims were given the opportunity to file complaints.
Earlier on Saturday afternoon in Schifflange, a motorist has seen their license revoked after driving under the influence. Later that night, another intoxicated man was riding his bicycle while playing a game on his phone and almost colliding with a police car after veering into the wrong lane.
Additionally, the police reported several break-ins in Luxembourg City, Walferdange, Lintgen, and Roedgen, prompting the dispatch of crime scene investigators to gather evidence.
In response to these break-ins, the police issued a reminder on measures the public can take to prevent burglaries.
