Traffic on the A3 motorway near Thionville is currently disrupted due to a significant accident, with the Luxembourg Motoring Association (ACL) reporting an eight-kilometre traffic jam.

The accident, which occurred shortly before 5pm near Croix de Bettembourg heading toward France, involved two cars and resulted in six people being injured.
 
Emergency services have confirmed the injuries and despatched two ambulances and two fire engines to the scene.
 
As of 5.30pm, the situation remains challenging, with two lanes blocked at the accident site. The ACL advises motorists to avoid the area if possible.
