The accident, which occurred shortly before 5pm near Croix de Bettembourg heading toward France, involved two cars and resulted in six people being injured.
Emergency services have confirmed the injuries and despatched two ambulances and two fire engines to the scene.
As of 5.30pm, the situation remains challenging, with two lanes blocked at the accident site. The ACL advises motorists to avoid the area if possible.
