A deadly accident on Thursday morning between the Sterpenich and Weyler exits on the Belgian E25 motorway had led to the temporary closure of the motorway coming from Luxembourg.
Our colleagues at RTL Infos learned that a person died after being knocked down by a vehicle on the E411. This occurred near Hondelange, towards Arlon.
An RTL photographer on site saw Belgian police blocking the motorway and marking out a large perimeter.
The Luxembourg authorities confirmed the reopening of the motorway before 10am, after 4 hours of traffic interruption on the E411 (Belgian side) and the A6 (Luxembourg side).
This has repercussions for Luxembourg traffic, which was redirected via the N13 and N6, leading to severe traffic jams in the area.
