Due to an emergency response in Ingeldorf, trains were suspended between Ettelbruck and Diekirch in both directions on Monday morning.

According to the Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps bulletin, a person was hit by a train at around 8.47 am. In addition to firefighters from Ingeldorf, Nordstad and Colmar-Berg, an ambulance and the rescue helicopter were also called to the scene.

Passengers were redirected to rail replacement buses for the duration of the incident.

The closure was lifted shortly after midday, and cars were once again permitted to use the level crossing.
