A confrontation between two individuals in Ettelbruck on Thursday evening resulted in one person suffering stab wounds.

The incident occurred in an establishment on Grand-Rue. According to the police, one person sustained stab wounds to the arm and was hospitalised after receiving first aid at the scene.

The police "immediately launched" a search for the suspect responsible for the stabbing. A patrol quickly located a person of interest. During the arrest, the suspect managed to swallow an unknown object despite police attempts to prevent it.

A hospital examination revealed no foreign body in the suspect's digestive system. However, the individual was found in possession of a small quantity of cocaine, which was confiscated.

The suspect was brought before an examining magistrate on Friday.
