On Thursday, dense fog forced a Luxair flight from Luxembourg to Porto to divert to Lisbon, resulting in a three-hour delay and affecting passengers on a subsequent flight to Barcelona.

On Thursday, a Luxair flight bound for Porto was diverted to Lisbon due to extremely foggy weather in the northern Portuguese city, which made landing impossible.

The diversion led to a three-hour stopover in Lisbon before the plane could resume its journey to Porto. This delay had a ripple effect, impacting another flight. Passengers scheduled to fly from Findel to Barcelona had to wait until the aircraft returned from Portugal.

Some passengers reported being confined to the plane without food or drinks. Although RTL has been contacted by other passengers stating everyone received beverages and young children were given food. Luxair did not directly address these complaints but stated that it adhered to standard procedures and provided vouchers to passengers as a gesture for the delay.
