In a unanimous vote, Gilbert Goergen has been elected as the new chairman of the Mutualist Medical and Supplementary Fund, succeeding André Heinen, who was ousted in February amid ongoing legal disputes.
Following their general assembly last weekend, the governing board of the Mutualist Medical and Supplementary Fund (CMCM) met on Wednesday to elect a new president. Following a unanimous vote, Gilbert Goergen is now poised to take over as chairman, with Roland Girres and Romance Scheuer serving as his deputies. Yves Scharlé has been appointed as the secretary general.
After months of disputes and internal disagreements, André Heinen, the former long-standing board chair, was ousted in February in what has since been described as a coup. Heinen, who was not present at the time, was removed by the board, a move he subsequently contested in a court of law, though a verdict in the case has yet to be announced.
