The Association of Parents of Mentally Handicapped Children (APEMH) opened their new workshop facilities at their Limpach site on Thursday.

Nearly 100 people with intellectual disabilities work on the Limpach site or receive professional training offered by the association.

The project was wholly funded by the Ministry of Family. The APEMH first opened facilities in Limpach eight years ago and have gradually added more workshops over the years. Now, the site is complete.

Everything produced on the farm is also processed and packaged on site. Products such as vegetables, honey, jam, baked goods and more are sold in the association's on-site shop.

Limpach has spaces for up to 220 people with intellectual disabilities to participate in workshops and training. Nearly half of these spaces are currently occupied.

The APEMH now has a total of 5 sites, where they employ or train 465 people with intellectual disabilities.
