Luxembourg's Inland Revenue has strengthened its collaboration with the Registration Duties, Estates and VAT Authority, the Ministry of Finance announced on Monday.

Minister Gilles Roth said this is a “new stage in the fight against tax fraud”. The collaboration will benefit both administrations, added the new head of the tax administration, Jean-Paul Olinger. Romain Heinen, head of the Registration Duties, Estates and VAT Authority, said it was "a clear evolution in our collaboration".

The Inland Revenue and the Registration Duties, Estates and VAT Authority recently received instructions to execute the law. The collaboration is designed to increase dialogue between the two authorities, encouraging an exchange of information and conducting joint checks.
