
More than three quarters of Europeans want a common defence and security policy at EU level, according to a recent study.
The latest Eurobarometer indicates that 70% of Europeans believe the EU should expand its military production. Security and defence are among the areas where the EU should place its primary focus on the medium term, along with climate and the environment, according to the survey.
In Luxembourg, half of all respondents say the economy has improved since last autumn, while around two-thirds of people in this country say they feel optimistic about the future of the European Union.
Nine out of ten Luxembourg participants in the survey agree that the EU should provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, while accommodating war refugees within the Union.
