A recent scam in Kayl involving a fraudulent charity worker has prompted police to launch an investigation and issue warnings to protect elderly residents from similar incidents.

Police reported yet another incident involving fraudulent charity workers in Kayl on Wednesday. The suspect is said to have rung the victim's doorbell at her home on Rue Notre-Dame, claiming to be collecting donations on behalf of a charity. He asked for a drink of water and took the opportunity to steal the woman's purse while she was distracted.

An investigation has been launched into the matter.
