It was an eventful night for the Grand Duchy's emergency services, who were called out over 800 times since Friday evening due to the heavy rainfall.

By Saturday morning, the authorities had received 800 calls, of which 98 concerned flooded cellars and 23 fallen trees.

Southern Luxembourg was placed under a red flood alert which was later lifted on Saturday morning, although flooding is still possible until 6 pm. Northern Luxembourg, on the other hand, remains under orange alert, where minor flooding can be expected.

Despite numerous interventions and floods, only two traffic accidents were reported between Friday evening and Saturday morning.

One accident was a collision between two cars near Canach, where two people were injured. According to the authorities, these were the only reported injuries at the end of a busy night.
