After an intense day of rainfall which led to a red alert in parts of the country, today is expected to be less severe - but the rain will still play a major part.
Yesterday, the rain caused a lot of trouble around Luxembourg, and while we are not expected to see a similar level of downpour today, it will still be present throughout the day - particularly in the morning - so, be prepared!
At the time of this writing, the current alert (Red in the south, orange/yellow in other regions) has been extended until Saturday. It is subject to change as weather conditions progress, so we advise you to keep an eye on the news.
As for the temperature: we'll start off around 10-12°C and gradually climb the ladder up until 16-18°C in the afternoon. And, as you may have guessed, we'll see a drop by a few degrees as the night approaches.
Besides checking RTL Today for your weather updates, it can be useful to keep in mind the following websites, should you require a certain type of information:
- Ville de Luxembourg provides regular updates, including closed roads and public transportation changes;
- Inondations.lu, for information regarding flood risks;
- Meteolux, for updates regarding the alert levels - and overall weather news.
Stay safe out there, and enjoy your Saturday!
