Spring and summer are shaping up to be eventful times in Luxembourg City. From Friday, the Place de la Constitution will host the famous City Skyliner. And from 29 June, football fans will be able to watch the Euros on a giant screen at the Glacis.

The City Skyliner returns...

After the Octave market, the Place de la Constitution turns host to a new attraction from Friday. In light of 'Spring at the Gëlle Fra', the City Skyliner, a 70-metre-high tower with a panoramic platform, has been set up near the famous sculpture. Children's games and a small stage are also foreseen, as are food stalls.

'Of course, there will also be plenty of opportunities to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the fine weather and the magnificent views over the city and the Pétrusse on a terrace’, explained the Mayor of Luxembourg, Lydie Polfer, on Thursday morning.

Starting mid-June, 'Spring at the Gëlle Fra’ will be followed by 'Summer at the Gëlle Fra' with an entirely new series of attractions.

... and so does football at Glacis!

To mark the European Football Championship, which will be held in Germany from 14 June to 14 July, Luxembourg City Council is organising public viewings on Glacis.

Several matches will be shown on a giant 50 square metre screen installed in the upper part of Glacis from 29 June.
