A serious accident occurred shortly before 3pm on Tuesday on the N12, involving a head-on collision between a motorcyclist and a van.
The incident happened on a right-hand bend on the N12 between Buderscheid and Wiltz. The motorcyclist was travelling from Wiltz towards Buderscheid when the collision occurred. Preliminary information indicates that the van driver swerved to avoid another motorcyclist and collided with the oncoming motorbike.
Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, responded to the scene. The motorcyclist, who sustained serious injuries, was admitted to hospital. The van driver was not injured. The road was closed to traffic to allow forensic units to conduct necessary measurements.
