Phishing emails are currently circulating in which the recipient is informed that their Payconiq certificate has expired.

The RTL editorial team also received various of such emails on Friday afternoon, which call for the renewal of one's personal Payconiq certificate.

The email warns that should you not renew the certificate within three days, you will no longer be able to make any payments or transfers via Payconiq.

You are then invited to click on a link that claims to renew this certificate by collecting your details.

Beware that this is a phishing attempt to obtain people's data through scams. Anyone who receives such an email should therefore delete it and not click on the link.
