Dismissal dramaLegal battle ensues as François Georges contests ProActif termination

RTL Today
Former ProActif director François Georges has decided to challenge his abrupt termination by the organisation's president in employment court.

Following his sudden dismissal as director of the ProActif employment initiative, François Georges has turned to the employment court in search of support, formally contesting his sacking by ProActif president Norbert Conter.

According to Georges’ lawyer, his client’s employment contract was not dissolved correctly. President Conter had informed Georges of his immediate dismissal via letter on 5 February, alleging “aggression and misconduct” and prohibiting the former director from entering the ProActif premises.

Since Conter is said to have shown no interest in finding an extrajudicial solution, Georges decided to go through the courts. He further explained that he has yet to be informed about his expulsion from the Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) in written form.
