Beginning 1 February, the Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHdN) in Ettelbruck will offer accessible paediatric care for children without the need for prior appointments. The service will be available from 8am to 8pm.

According to a press release from the CHdN, the initiative targets children with "moderate to mild" medical needs. However, the hospital emphasises that it is not equipped to handle cases involving children arriving by ambulance, those with serious illnesses requiring hospitalisation, those in vital distress, or those in need of psychiatric care.

For such cases, the Children's Clinic (KannerKlinik) at the Centre Hospitalier du Centre (CHL) remains the primary point of contact for comprehensive care in Luxembourg.

In addition, the CHdN underscores safety and effective care protocols, stating that only one parent may accompany the child during consultations.
