Five years after its last update, the online information portal Guichet.lu has a new look, with visual updates and additional functions to render it more user-friendly.

The Government IT Centre (CTIE) has reworked the site's home page layout based on comments from users, updating the navigation and descriptions of different procedures. With the new design's more varied accessibility parameters, users can opt to change the site's look to suit their needs, for example, the contrast or line spacing for each page.

A selection of procedures are now directly accessible from the homepage's "procedures in focus" section, allowing immediate access to the most sought-after information. In addition, the log-in button in the navigation bar now allows users to immediately access their "MyGuichet.lu" page from any other page on the site.

The descriptor pages for each procedure now include information on whether the process requires an online service or form at the very top of the page, while information sheets have been revised to make it easier for citizens or businesses to find what they are looking for.  Furthermore, the portal's navigation has been updated to adapt to the 1,988 procedure descriptions contained within the site.

French speakers may also benefit from a new section which describes the procedures in "easy-to-read" language, for those who have difficulty navigating administrative texts. The change is aimed at supporting people with disabilities, dyslexia or poor language skills, as well as the elderly.

The Ministry of Digitalisation said the changes were part of the ministry's digital inclusion approach, to increase visibility of the texts and reach a wider audience to encourage users to carry out processes online.
