High-value itemsLuxury shops have to display item prices in Luxembourg

RTL Today
Shops that do not comply with this regulation will be fined.

Between April and November of this year, the Directorate for Consumer Protection observed that prices for items or services were often not displayed in many luxury brand shops. In a letter published this Friday, a noticeable shortfall is being mentioned. It is emphasised that, for high-value items, prices need to be displayed just like for any other items.

With the festive days approaching, monitoring and follow-up checks are being carried out in shops that do not comply with the regulation.

The Directorate reminds that non-compliance will result in legal actions and fines ranging from 25 up to 2,000 euros. Additionally, a meeting with sector representatives is planned.
