A vehicle overtook police officers while speeding and continued driving despite clear signals to stop. Additional patrols joined the pursuit and eventually brought the car to a halt in the Micheville tunnel between Esch-sur-Alzette and the French border. A subsequent check revealed that the driver was over the legal alcohol limit, leading to the immediate withdrawal of his driving licence and the filing of charges against him.

In two separate cases—one at 7:30 pm in Dudelange and another around 9 pm in Niederkorn—drivers were stopped for allegedly exceeding the legal alcohol limit, resulting in the immediate revocation of their driving licences.

In Niederkorn, police flagged the driver for following another vehicle too closely. Both drivers were found to be over the legal alcohol limit and were prevented from continuing their journeys. Additionally, the Niederkorn driver failed to present a valid vehicle inspection certificate.
