CLAE (Liaison and Action Committee for Foreigners) presented answers regarding their guide's recent updates, this Wednesday.
CLAE, which connects various associations of foreign citizens across the Grand Duchy, has released updates to its 2017 guide - taking recent legislative changes into consideration.
New rules were set in place this past summer, established to create operational transparency across institutions and associations.
According to Anita Helpiquet from CLAE: “For example, once a year it’s necessary to publish financial accounts in the Registre de Commerce et des Sociétés. Additionally, non-profit organisations have [now] been categorised into three groups: small, medium and large.”
Although changes are not explicitly marked throughout the guide, they can be found seamlessly integrated into the updated edition. All essential details regarding the managing and creation of an association are available across the organisation's 13 booklets.
“We have included how to 'initiate an initiative', with the basic necessary methodologies to request subsidies. Additionally, we provide a booklet detailing the primary financial resources available in Luxembourg and practical guidance on locating them."
Additional details on managing the accounts of small associations are also included. For more information and to order this guide, visit www.clae.lu (website in French).
