According to Reporter.lu, the director of Luxembourg's tax office, Pascale Toussing, will not have her mandate extended beyond 31 December 2023.
Toussing was appointed to the position in 2017 when she succeeded Guy Heintz. According to reports, Toussing requested her mandate to be extended but was denied the opportunity to stay at the helm of the tax office in 2024.
According to Reporter.lu, Toussing's management of the office has been deemed unsatisfactory, particularly due to a lack of progress on the tax reform front.
