It was an intense start to the week for the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) as several accidents took place all across the Grand Duchy.

At around 5.55am  three cars collided near the petrol station at Pontpierre, leading to significant traffic jams and long delays in the Esch-sur-Alzette–Schifflange–Pontpierre area. According to the CGDIS, two people were injured in the crash.  Emergency services from Mondercange, Schifflange, and Esch-sur-Alzette were deployed to the scene.

Shortly before 8am, two more cars were involved in a collision on the N11 between the Distillerie and Waldhaff in Luxembourg City. Emergency services from Niederanven and Luxembourg City reported one person injured.

Around the same time, another accident occurred in Roodt-sur-Syre involving two vehicles, leaving one person injured. Firefighters from Munsbach received assistance from emergency services at Findel.

Two further accidents took place after 9am, each resulting in one injury. One occurred between Rumelange and Martelange, and another in Foetz, where a pedestrian was hit. Emergency crews from Rambrouch and Redange, as well as from Mondercange, Schifflange, and Dudelange, were called to the scenes.
