The Ministry of Education has officially initiated a disciplinary procedure against Jean Billa, the director of Lycée Edward Steichen, as confirmed to RTL.

The ministry declined to comment on the reasons for the disciplinary action nor any accusations against Jean Billa. It said the investigation was ongoing, with the file now with the Disciplinary Commission of the Public Service. Certain elements may also be passed on to the public prosecutor's office, the ministry said.

Despite referring to the presumption of innocence, the Billa has been suspended until conclusions were reached.

Lycée Edward Steichen has been open since 2018, with a national elementary school as well as a national and international secondary school. Billa is the first director of the school, which offers places to around 1,000 students.
