
On 10 October, a first injured person was evacuated by the Luxembourg Air Ambulance from Armenia to Madrid in Spain in the context of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The injured person was transferred to the Spanish capital to receive specialist medical treatment, according to a joint statement by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Cooperation Directorate, the Ministry for Home Affairs, and the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS).
Evacuation missions of three other people are scheduled for 11, 12 and 13 October. These operations are co-financed by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the European Union as part of the European civil protection mechanism.
