Shortly after the start of the new school year, the House of the Grand Duke launched a new version of its website, Monarchie.lu, aimed specifically at children.
What does the Head of State do? Why does Luxembourg have a Grand Duke? Parents across Luxembourg may have heard questions like these before from their ever-curious children. As of September, answers to these questions are now available in four languages - Luxembourgish, French, German, and English - on the kids.monarchie.lu website.
This new platform takes children on a virtual journey through the monarchy's symbolic landmarks, including the Grand-Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City, as well as the castles of Colmar-Berg and Fischbach. It also offers insights into the castle gardens and the people working at the Palace.
In addition, children can enjoy a playful introduction to the Grand Ducal family, complete with an appearance by the Grand Duchess's furry companion, Toffee. For those keen on testing their newfound knowledge, a quiz awaits at the end of the adventure.
