A new study from the Institute of Health shows that almost half of the adult population in Luxembourg have some type of allergy.

The most common allergies are from grass and tree pollen.

The study collected data from over 1,400 people and researchers are say that their findings show an allergy epidemic.

According to the researchers, allergies not only have a negative impact on the population's overall health but also on healthcare systems.

In Luxembourg, allergies cost our healthcare system over 60 million euros per year. The researchers are therefore demanding that resources be put in place to counter this problem.
