As Luxembourg's primary school students prepare to embark on their new academic journey on Friday, the Ministry of Education has unveiled key statistics for the 2023/2024 school year.

A total of 60,901 students are enrolled in primary education, where they will be taught by 6,700 teachers. It is worth noting that female teachers vastly outnumber male teachers in this area of education, constituting 80% of the teaching workforce.

In secondary education, 52,515 students will start the new school year, supported by 5,480 teachers.

With almost 2,100 students enrolled, the Lycée technique du Centre (LTC) is the school with the most students in Luxembourg.
