A cyclist was seen pedalling down the hard shoulder of the A6 motorway on Monday afternoon.
A traffic report read that he was first spotted between Aire de Capellen and Mamer, and then later between Bridel and Strassen.
When a driver pulled over to tell the man he was risking his life, the latter responded that he was on his way to Metz, France.
By 3.40pm, the cyclist was no longer discernible on the motorway. It is unclear whether police were involved in removing him from the road.
