Legislative electionsCandidate withdraws from list ahead of upcoming vote

RTL Today
Jessica Schiltz, a candidate representing the northern region for the Liberté-Fräiheet party led by MP Roy Reding, a former member of the Alternative Democratic Reform Party (adr), has declared her intention to step down from the electoral race.

In a private video statement, the 38-year-old artisan hailing from Diekirch expressed her decision not to pursue election, stating that she “didn’t need defamation and lies” and that “other people’s values have gone off the rails.”

Schiltz will therefore take part in the race as a – in her own words – “discreet” candidate, explicitly asking voters not to vote for her. This development effectively reduces the number of candidates on the Liberté-Fräiheet party’s northern list to a total of eight.
