29 police officers were involved in the traffic control operation on Saturday night.
As part of a large-scale operation, approximately 200 vehicles underwent checks in Contern from Friday night to Saturday morning. The inspection, with the participation of 29 police officers, primarily focused on verifying the vehicle documents, assessing the overall condition of the vehicles, and observing the driving behavior of the vehicle owners.
Additionally, they verified whether the modifications made to the vehicles complied with the legal requirements and were duly registered on the vehicle's registration certificate (carte grise).
In total, 94 sanctions were imposed, primarily for vehicle defects, dangerous driving, and a lack of mandatory safety equipment.
Two cases warranted a special report for a technical inspection, and four vehicles were towed.
Furthermore, during targeted radar checks in the area, 317 speeding violations were recorded.
