A recent parliamentary question posed by the Pirate Party sheds light on the status of cycle path construction in Luxembourg.
According to Minister for Mobility François Bausch's response, since 2018, just over 73 kilometres of cycle paths have been completed, significantly less than the ambitious 430-kilometre target set for this legislative period.
Currently, approximately 300 kilometres of cycle paths are in the planning stages, with 11 kilometres under construction. The ultimate objective, as outlined in the corresponding law, is to establish a comprehensive network spanning 1,100 kilometres of cycle paths across the country.
