
On 28 May, the police intervened at a gala presentation of the IM Mastery Academy in Kirchberg, following concerns raised by several parents. The academy is suspected of promoting paid training courses that have influenced some students to drop out of school, according to the official police report.
Preliminary findings indicate that this entity appears to be targeting young secondary school students, enticing them with promises of stock market training in exchange for monthly payments. The police have warned that involvement with such “academies” can have detrimental consequences for young people, leading some to abandon their education in pursuit of quick and effortless money-making opportunities.
The managers of the IM Mastery Academy were arrested on the spot and questioned. “An investigation has been launched for, among other things, failure to obtain an establishment permit,” the police said in a press release.
The initiation of the investigation has been reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which has subsequently issued an order for the seizure of relevant documents.
