Officers were able to catch three individuals suspected of taking part in a burglary last Friday in Diekirch.

On Friday 14 April, witnesses reported seeing several individuals breaking into an uninhabited house in Rue Clairefontaine in Diekirch.

Upon receiving the report, a patrol was dispatched to the scene and was able to apprehend two of the individuals immediately, while the third attempted to flee but was caught shortly thereafter.

While investigating the incident on Rue Clairefontaine, the police discovered that another property had been broken into. In this instance, the perpetrators had gained entry by smashing a window at the back of the house.

Statements made by the judicial police suggest that the suspect who tried to flee was involved in this burglary.

All three suspects were taken to the police station. A search revealed that two of them were also carrying drugs. The Diekirch public prosecutor's office ordered the arrest of the third suspect, who was brought before an examining magistrate on Saturday morning.
