On 22 March, police carried out a number of checks on traffic on the N19 and N2 alongside customs officials.
Officials stopped nine vehicles which did not have up-to-date technical inspections, while two cars did not have the correct tyres, and three were lacking their tax vignette.
Another motorist was unable to present a valid driver's licence, and two vehicles were stopped because they were transporting children who were not buckled in correctly.
Two other drivers were written up due to irregularities in their vehicle documents.
The operation required 12 police and customs officials on duty.
