Newspaper Wort recently published a story about a physician from the Belgian city of Liège, who came under fire for issuing thousands of fake coronavirus vaccination certificates and who later worked for the Luxembourg Armed Forces for a brief period of time.

As it now turns out, the doctor, who has already been convicted for fraud and tax evasion, also worked in other places in the Grand Duchy despite not even disputing the allegations levelled against him.

According to RTL sources, the physician worked for the Luxembourg Red Cross for two days before being employed by the Army. From May until December 2021, he also worked as a control physician, which the Ministry of Social Security has since confirmed. However, the Ministry did not indicate whether collaboration was terminated because of the allegations.

In November 2021, news broke that the doctor faked more than 2,000 Covid-19 vaccination certificates, for which he charged between €200 and €1,000.

According to the Ministry of Health, the physician has had the right to exercise his profession in Luxembourg since 2 December 2019, which is still valid to this day. However, since the accusations against him have come to light, the Medical College has removed his name from the list of registered doctors.
