Discussions with the employer representatives lasted from 2pm until 3.30pm on Tuesday afternoon, with attendees describing talks as taking place with “a good atmosphere” upon exiting the meeting.
The session was largely composed of numbers laid on the table in order to evaluate the general situation, said Michel Reckinger, the president of the employers union.
However, the union was not informed over the eventual procedures which the government may use to compensate for the potential third index tranche later this year.

Discussions with the unions began shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, thought to eventually cover tax relief measures. The unions are seeking a scale adjustment to inflation.
