Police have issued two witness appeals, one in relation to a knife attack in Differdange, the other in relation to a car accident near Hoscheid-Dickt.

At 9am on Sunday, a bar owner from the Differdange city centre alerted the police to an altercation during which a person was wounded with a knife. Four people had been involved in a dispute that ultimately ended in the fight, according to preliminary information.

The three attackers fled the scene and a search for them remained unsuccessful. The victim was hospitalised with several cut wounds.

Police have published a suspect description for the knife-wielding attacker, who is of dark skin colour and wore an orange jacket at the time of the assault.

Accident near Hoscheid-Dickt

Authorities are also looking for witnesses in relation to an accident that happened on the N7 near Hoscheid-Dickt at 9.15pm on Sunday 11 December. Two cars collided at the time and left one person injured.
